The Regional Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in Mysuru has launched the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign (EEC) 2026, a special initiative aimed at expanding statutory social security coverage. The campaign, open until October 31, 2026, was announced by Regional PF Commissioner-1, Mysuru, Shadakshara Gopala Reddy, in a press statement. Employers across the region have been urged to take advantage of this one-time compliance facilitation scheme.

Coverage for Employees Left Out Since 2009

The EEC 2026 allows employers to voluntarily enrol eligible employees who were excluded from EPF coverage between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2026. This move seeks to extend provident fund, pension, and insurance benefits to workers while promoting formal employment and voluntary compliance under the EPF and MP Act.

Under the campaign, employers receive significant compliance relief. If the employee’s share of EPF contributions was not deducted from wages during the specified period, it will be waived. Employers are only required to remit their share of contributions along with applicable interest, administrative charges, and a nominal damage fee of ₹100.

Simplified Enrolment Process

The enrolment process has been streamlined through the EPFO Employer Portal, which features a dedicated EEC-2026 module. Employers must complete the process online, including declaration submission, Face Authentication-based UAN generation, ECR filing, and digital declarations. EPFO has assured employers that the campaign offers a unique opportunity to regularise eligible employees while extending long-term social security benefits.

Awareness and Assistance Efforts

To ensure smooth implementation, EPFO Mysuru has been conducting awareness programmes, outreach meetings, and stakeholder interactions across the region. Employers have been encouraged to visit the EPFO Employer Portal or contact the Regional Office for guidance and assistance. The organisation has reiterated its appeal for establishments to act promptly and utilise the campaign before the October 31, 2026 deadline.

This initiative is seen as a significant step toward promoting social security and formal employment, aligning with EPFO’s broader mandate to safeguard workers’ rights and benefits.
