Police vehicle allegedly attacked with stones in Shamli, driver injured

Police came under attack in Shamli’s Kairana area after stones and bricks were allegedly thrown at a Dial 112 police vehicle that had reached a village to resolve a dispute between two brothers. The police vehicle, PRV 3030, was damaged in the stone-pelting, while its driver was injured after being hit by a brick.

The incident took place in Kudana village of Shamli district. After the stone-pelting, the accused allegedly fled from the spot and entered a sugarcane field. On receiving information, additional police force reached the location and started searching for him.

According to the information available, a dispute had broken out between two brothers in the village over an issue. It has been alleged that the elder brother, Imran, vandalised items kept inside the house. When the family members objected, he allegedly forced them out of the house and sent them into the street.

The matter was then reported to the police control room. Following the information, Dial 112’s PRV 3030 reached the village. Police personnel were trying to calm the dispute when the alleged attack took place.

According to the allegation, bricks and stones suddenly began to be thrown at the police team from the roof. The sudden stone-pelting damaged the police vehicle. A brick also hit the driver, causing injuries.

After the incident, the accused allegedly ran away from the spot and entered a nearby sugarcane field. The police called in additional force and began a search operation to trace him.

A video connected to the incident has also surfaced and is being reported as viral. Police are investigating the matter. Necessary legal action is being taken in connection with the incident.
