Yogi Adityanath Directs No Occupied Houses Be Demolished for Achhalda Bridge

Former Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and former Minister of State for Agriculture in the Uttar Pradesh government, Lakhan Singh Rajput, met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and discussed issues related to the development of the district.

The meeting focused on finding solutions to two important public problems in Auraiya district. One of the issues concerned the new bridge under construction in Achhalda town and the notices issued in connection with 163 occupied houses.

In Auraiya district’s Achhalda town, the Irrigation Department had pasted notices regarding the demolition of 163 occupied houses in connection with the construction of the new bridge. Lakhan Singh Rajput placed this serious matter before Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

A detailed discussion was held on protecting the homes of the affected families and finding a permanent solution to the problem. The issue was presented with a focus on ensuring that the families living in these houses were not displaced.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took immediate cognisance of the matter and directed the Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department, to ensure that the new bridge is constructed at the same location after demolishing the old bridge. He also directed that no occupied house should be demolished.

The second issue discussed during the meeting related to the consolidation process underway in Gram Panchayat Kanchousi of Auraiya district.

Farmers in the gram panchayat had been allotted consolidation plots during 1988-89. Lakhan Singh Rajput held a detailed discussion with the Chief Minister on the matter and requested that further action be completed on the basis of the consolidation process carried out earlier.

He also urged that farmers should be protected from unnecessary difficulties during the process. In response, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the concerned Principal Secretary to proceed on the basis of the earlier consolidation process and complete the action.

The Chief Minister further directed that no farmer should be troubled unnecessarily.
