AI Disclosure

News Darpan is a human-edited newsroom. Every story is reviewed, edited, and approved by our editorial team before publication, and a named journalist is accountable for it. In the interest of full transparency, this page explains the supporting digital tools our team uses and the human oversight that always governs them.

Supporting tools our team uses

• Research and translation. Our team uses digital tools to help research topics and to produce paired English and Hindi versions of a story. Every such draft is checked, edited, and approved by a member of our editorial team before publication — the editor, not the tool, is responsible for what is published.
• Illustrative images. Some articles carry a computer-generated illustration. These are clearly captioned as such and are used only as a conceptual or symbolic visual — never to depict a real person or event as if it were an authentic photograph.
• Metadata and summaries. Tools may help draft page metadata and key-point summaries; the facts in these are verified by our editors against the underlying reporting.

Human oversight (non-negotiable)

• Every published article carries a real, named journalist's byline. The bylined reporter and our editors are accountable for the content.
• AI output is subject to the same editorial gates as any other content: fact-checking, our Editorial Policy, and a review queue for sensitive or high-risk topics.
• We do not auto-publish unreviewed AI text. Legal and sensitive stories are routed to human legal/editorial review.

What we do not do

• We do not present AI-generated images as real photographs of actual events.
• We do not fabricate quotes, sources, statistics or FAQs.
• We do not publish content that merely rewrites another source without adding verified, original value.
