Ahead of NEET UG Re-Test, NTA Shares Advisory: ‘Remain Calm, Avoid Sharing Unverified Information’

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the re-test for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 on June 21. In preparation for the exam, the agency has issued an advisory urging candidates to remain calm and avoid being influenced by unverified information circulating online. The NTA assured students that the examination will proceed as scheduled and advised them not to worry about rumours regarding any postponement.

Students have been instructed to rely exclusively on official communications from the NTA. In a statement posted on ‘X’, the agency highlighted that extensive arrangements have been made to ensure a safe, secure, and fair examination process. These preparations have been carried out in collaboration with relevant ministries, state governments, and security agencies.

To safeguard the integrity of the examination, the NTA has implemented multiple layers of security measures and emphasized that any attempt at malpractice will be dealt with strictly. In its message, the agency encouraged candidates to trust their efforts, stay calm, rest well, and focus on performing their best during the exam.

The NTA also addressed the cancellation of the May 3 exam, explaining that the decision was taken to uphold fairness for all candidates after issues were identified in the examination process. Lessons learned from that experience have been integrated into improved systems and procedures for this year’s re-test.

Acknowledging the stress associated with high-stakes exams, the NTA reminded students of the availability of the MANAS mental-health helpline (14416) for emotional support. The agency encouraged candidates to seek assistance if needed and appealed to parents, teachers, and the community to foster a calm environment by refraining from sharing unverified information and supporting students in the lead-up to the examination.

Concluding its advisory, the NTA urged students to remain confident, trust their preparation, and focus on delivering their best performance in the upcoming examination.
