Malaysia Prepares for Record Heat as 'Super' El Nino Approaches

Malaysia is gearing up for potentially record-breaking heat as a "super" El Nino event looms on the horizon. The country's Meteorological Department has warned that maximum temperatures could surpass the all-time high of 40.1°C (104.2°F) recorded in 1998 in Chuping, located in the northern state of Perlis. Officials expect the phenomenon to peak between March and May 2027, bringing intense heat across the region.
