O.P. Arya told the concerned officials to visit the spot and verify the actual situation in each complaint. He said that the solution should be such that the complainant does not have to repeatedly visit government offices for the same problem.
He also said that disposing of a complaint within the prescribed time limit is the responsibility of the concerned officer. Any negligence in this regard, he said, would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Divisional Commissioner further instructed officials to contact complainants after complaints have been marked as resolved and find out whether they were satisfied with the action taken. He said that simply recording a complaint as resolved on the portal was not enough.
According to his instructions, the actual satisfaction of the complainant should be the basis for effective disposal of a complaint. If a complainant is not satisfied, the matter should be reviewed again, he said.

During his inspection of the stall of the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department, the Divisional Commissioner focused on the nutrition of pregnant women and children. He directed Anganwadi workers to identify pregnant women on a priority basis and keep regular watch over them.
He stressed the need to increase awareness about vaccination, nutrition and a balanced diet among pregnant women. He said that pregnant mothers should be connected with better nutrition and necessary health services on time.
The objective, according to his instructions, is to improve maternal and child health and bring down the situation of children being born with low weight.
The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the progress of schemes being implemented by the Labour Department. He directed officials to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach genuinely eligible workers.
