Two New Train Services to Launch in India on June 21
New train services from Jaipur to Darbhanga and Bikaner to Ahmedabad to be inaugurated on June 21, enhancing rail connectivity in India.
Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is set to inaugurate two new train services on June 21, marking a significant boost to rail connectivity across regions. The Jaipur (Khatipura)-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express and the Bikaner-Ahmedabad daily service will be flagged off on the same day, according to officials from North Western Railway (NWR).
The Jaipur-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express will operate six days a week, providing much-needed connectivity for passengers traveling for employment, education, business, and family purposes. Currently, only a weekly train runs between Ajmer and Darbhanga, making this new service a major improvement for those commuting along this route. The train will stop at key stations, including Dausa, Bharatpur, Agra, Kanpur Central, Gorakhpur, and Sitamarhi, among others, ensuring accessibility to several important cities and towns.
The second service, a daily train between Bikaner and Ahmedabad, is expected to enhance travel options for passengers in western India. Both trains are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to expand rail infrastructure and improve connectivity across the country. The launch of these services aligns with the Railways Ministry’s focus on improving passenger convenience and boosting regional economic activity.
Officials believe these new trains will cater to the growing demand for reliable and frequent rail services in these regions. The Jaipur-Darbhanga route, in particular, is expected to ease travel for thousands of passengers who currently face limited options. Similarly, the Bikaner-Ahmedabad service is likely to benefit commuters traveling for business and personal purposes between Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The flagging-off ceremony will be a significant event, highlighting the government’s commitment to modernizing India’s railway network and making travel more accessible for citizens. These new services are anticipated to play a crucial role in fostering regional connectivity and economic growth.
