Traffic restrictions and parking arrangements have been announced around Golconda Fort on Saturday to facilitate Independence Day celebrations at the Rani Mahal Lawns. The road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort will remain closed to general traffic from 6 a.m. to noon, with the stretch reserved for vehicles carrying invitees with A (Gold), A (Cream), and B (Blue) passes.
Designated Routes and Parking for Invitees
Invitees coming from Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank, and Mehdipatnam have been advised to use specific routes via Rethi Bowli, Nanal Nagar Junctions, Balika Bhavan, Langer House flyover, Tippu Khan Bridge, and Ramdevguda, before proceeding through Makkai Darwaza to Golconda Fort. Parking has been categorized based on pass types:
- A (Gold): Main road in front of the fort’s main gate.
- A (Cream) & B (Blue): Golconda bus stop, about 50 metres from the main gate.
- C (Green): Owaisi/GHMC Playground, approximately 500 metres away.
- D (Red): Area Hospital, Golconda, accessed via Shaikpet Nala, Tolichowki, and Seven Tombs.
- E (Black): General public will park at designated areas, including the Government Primary School near Tawakkal diversion point, Seven Tombs, Deccan Park, and the football ground near Golconda Law and Order police station.
