In the run-up to the polling, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced fitment and reiterated the number of compassionate appointments made for TGSRTC workers’ family members.
He also spoke about the reinstatement of workers who had been dismissed from service.
Union leaders said their demands would continue to remain unchanged.
One of the demands cited by the union leaders is the merger of the transport corporation with the government.
