Tirupati NCC Cadet K. Thirumal Wins Gold at Telangana Equestrian Championship
Tirupati NCC cadets won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Telangana State Equestrian Championship in Hyderabad.
K. Thirumal won gold in the Cadet Jumping: Young Rider category at the Telangana State Equestrian Championship, while N. Pundarikaksha secured bronze.
Murali finished fourth in the same category and received a highly commended distinction.
The results came from cadets of the 2(A) R&V Regiment of the Tirupati NCC group, who competed in the championship conducted in Hyderabad from October 16 to 18.
The event was organised by Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club in association with the Telangana Equestrian Federation.
Strong showing in open show jumping
The Tirupati NCC contingent also performed strongly in the Open Show Jumping category.
K. Thirumal won the silver medal, while N. Pundarikaksha bagged the bronze.
The achievements reflected the cadets’ dedication, discipline, courage and excellent horsemanship, according to an official release by the NCC.
The release said the performance highlighted the unit’s sustained efforts in equestrian training and its commitment to nurturing young talent.
It added that the achievement had brought pride and recognition to the unit and the NCC organisation.
The championship results therefore placed the Tirupati NCC group’s training efforts alongside medal-winning performances in both cadet and open categories.
