Senior officials visit Mirzapur police station to fast-track public grievance resolution

Divisional Commissioner Rajesh Prakash and Deputy Inspector General of Police Poonam visited Madiyan police station on Saturday to hear public grievances as part of the Thana Samadhan Diwas initiative. The senior officials assured complainants that their problems would be addressed promptly and effectively, emphasizing the government's commitment to resolving citizen issues with transparency and fairness.

During the hearing in Mirzapur on August 22, 2026, the Commissioner and DIG made it clear to local officers and staff that public grievance redressal is among the top priorities of the state government. They warned that negligence or indifference at any level while handling complaints would not be tolerated. The officials stressed that resolution should not remain limited to paperwork alone but must provide genuine relief to complainants.

Taking land and revenue-related disputes seriously, the authorities issued specific directions for joint teams of police and revenue departments to conduct on-site investigations in cases involving land disputes, boundary conflicts, illegal occupation, and other revenue matters. They instructed that such cases must be resolved impartially and within stipulated timeframes, ensuring quality outcomes for affected citizens.

The station in-charge also received instructions to identify antisocial elements in the area and take necessary preventive action against them. The visiting officials underscored that transparency, impartiality, and quality must be maintained while solving public problems so that citizens continue to have faith in the government and administrative machinery.

The Thana Samadhan Diwas platform allows senior officials to directly interact with citizens, understand ground realities, and monitor the responsiveness of police and revenue departments.
