Registration Opens for Hoysala Hustle’s Second Edition in Bengaluru

Registration has opened for the second edition of Hoysala Hustle, a thematic cultural run that will be held on November 1 on NICE Road in Bengaluru to mark Karnataka Rajyotsava.

The event will feature four race categories: 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K. Hoysala Hustle is designed to bring together endurance sport and cultural elements, including heritage, music, performance and storytelling.

Ankur Bhasin, race director of Hoysala Hustle, shared these details in a release. He said the run combines a sporting challenge with a cultural experience, making the event different from a conventional road race.

The focus of this year’s second edition will be coastal Karnataka. The race route will feature a range of cultural expressions and performances from the region.

These will include Yakshagana, Pili Nalike, Siddhi Dhamal, Hagalu Vesha, Dollu Kunitha, Mangaluru Chende and Kolata. The performances will be staged as part of the route experience, bringing cultural elements directly into the run.

According to the release, the combination of these performances and the race route is intended to create an experience that is rarely associated with a road race. The event will therefore present the sporting format alongside live cultural expressions connected to the coastal Karnataka theme.

The performances will also be supported by thematic installations placed along the route. Storytelling experiences will form another part of the event, adding to the cultural presentation planned across the course.

Hoysala Hustle will thus use the race route not only for the 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K categories, but also as a space for music, performance, heritage-based installations and storytelling.
