The video shows Noreen attempting to return to the ward but being forced back by advancing flames and thick smoke.
"I cannot sleep. Those babies do not let me sleep"
Speaking through tears to private broadcaster Samaa TV on Sunday, Noreen said she had simply fulfilled her professional duty. "I did not do it for a reward. I love children, and caring for them is my passion," she told the channel.
She described helplessly watching the blaze consume the nursery within two minutes of carrying the first infant to safety, leaving her unable to reach the others. "I cannot sleep. Those babies do not let me sleep," Noreen said, adding that memories of the incident continued to haunt her.
The nurse said she remained heartbroken that the flames spread too rapidly for her to re-enter after the first rescue.
The fire at the major government hospital claimed 14 newborn lives, with only the baby Noreen saved surviving the disaster.
