Tempo plunges into pit after hitting stray bull on highway, locals rescue passengers

A major road accident occurred on the National Highway in Shravasti when a passenger-filled tempo collided with a stray bull near Sitadwar temple. The impact caused the tempo to go out of control and plunge into a water-filled pit approximately 15 feet deep on the roadside.

Around half a dozen people were traveling in the tempo at the time of the accident, including innocent children and women. As soon as the tempo fell into the deep water, panic and screaming broke out at the spot.

Local people present nearby immediately jumped into the water without delay and rescued the trapped passengers from the tempo, saving their lives. After receiving information, an ambulance reached the spot and all the injured were admitted to Ikauna Community Health Center.

It is being reported that all the people injured in the accident are residents of Bahraich district and work as street vendors. They were traveling from Balrampur to Bahraich in the tempo.

Police also reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and inspected the scene. Preliminary reports indicate that the accident was caused by a stray bull that suddenly appeared on the road.

Questions have once again been raised about stray animals continuously roaming on the National Highway. The big question is when will there be relief from stray animals openly roaming on the roads so that such accidents can be prevented.
