Social workers stage silent protest at Fufund railway station for train halts

A silent protest demanding stoppage of major trains and improved facilities for passengers has begun at Fufund railway station in Dibiyapur, Auraiya.

Social worker Dhiraj Shukla, along with Shyam Singh and other colleagues, has launched the silent demonstration to press for their long-pending demands. The group has been continuously submitting memorandums to the railway administration in Gandhian style, seeking halts for major trains at Fufund railway station.

The protesters are staging a silent fast at the station premises to demand proper arrangements for divyang persons and to secure basic amenities at the station, which has been declared an A-grade station.

Dhiraj Shukla, who is known as a social worker, began his struggle on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, using Gandhian methods to demand that the railway administration provide train stoppages at the station and make basic facilities available in the premises. The protest continues as the activists seek to draw attention to the lack of essential services at the station despite its upgraded status, highlighting the need for better infrastructure and accessibility for all passengers, including those with disabilities.
