Two Murder Accused Injured, Arrested After Muzaffarnagar Police Encounter
Two accused in a murder case were injured and arrested after an encounter with police in Purkazi area of Muzaffarnagar district, police said.
According to the police, the Purkazi police station team was carrying out checking under the Bhainsani bridge during the disclosure of a murder case when an encounter took place with two criminals. Police said the criminals opened fire at the police team. In response, the police fired in self-defence, in which both accused were injured.
The injured accused have been identified as Nazim, son of Muzaffar Husain, and Shawez, son of Ifzur Rahman. Police arrested both of them and admitted them to a hospital for treatment.
Police said they recovered the deceased’s R15 bike, a smart watch, an Apple mobile phone, a Toyota Corolla car used in the incident, two country-made pistols, five live cartridges, two empty cartridges and Rs 1070 from their possession.
Police said further legal action is being taken in the case.
