In a significant push for development in Telangana, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday inaugurated road construction and strengthening projects worth ₹185.15 crore in the Parigi Assembly constituency. The foundation stone was laid in the presence of IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu during a public event in Parigi.

₹900 Crore Allocated for Vikarabad Roads

Highlighting the state’s commitment to infrastructure development, Venkat Reddy revealed that ₹900 crore has been sanctioned for road upgrades across Vikarabad district. He also emphasized the government’s broader welfare initiatives, which include providing permanent housing assistance to eliminate huts, issuing ration cards to the needy, distributing fine rice, and offering subsidized LPG cylinders.

The minister further noted the government’s efforts to tackle unemployment, citing the successful recruitment of 67,773 candidates through Group-I, Group-II, and other competitive examinations.

Industrial Development and Local Employment

IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu pledged to focus on establishing industries in the Parigi region to create job opportunities for local youth. Echoing this sentiment, Parigi MLA T. Ram Mohan Reddy called for increased industrial investments in the constituency and requested financial backing to expand key two-lane roads into four-lane highways.

Lakshmidevipalli Project to Be Fast-Tracked

Minister Venkat Reddy also assured the public that work on the Lakshmidevipalli Project would be expedited and completed at the earliest. The project is expected to play a crucial role in addressing local development needs.

Officials and Leaders in Attendance

The event saw the participation of several prominent figures, including Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah, District Collector Deepak Tiwari, and other senior officials. Their presence underscored the importance of the initiatives launched in the region.

Why It Matters

The ₹185-crore infrastructure push is part of Telangana’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity, boost local economies, and improve living standards. With additional industrial development and housing initiatives in the pipeline, the government aims to address both immediate and long-term needs of the people in Parigi and beyond.
