Student leader demands action on crumbling roads, waterlogging in Pratapgarh village

Student leader Suraj Upadhyay has raised serious concerns over deteriorating road conditions and waterlogging in Ramapur village under the Ranigang assembly constituency in Pratapgarh district, demanding immediate action from local elected representatives. Upadhyay, a former state executive member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and former college unit president who also contested as a district panchayat candidate from Gaura Pratham, has called upon Samajwadi Party MLA R.K. Verma and Pratapgarh MP S.P. Singh Patel to address the infrastructure crisis.

In a strongly worded appeal made through social media, Upadhyay urged both legislators to expedite road construction and drainage work in the affected village. He criticized the lawmakers for their failure to resolve basic civic issues, going so far as to suggest they should resign if unable to deliver on fundamental development needs. The student leader specifically highlighted the plight of villagers dealing with dilapidated roads and severe waterlogging during the monsoon season, emphasizing that these problems require urgent attention.

Taking his campaign further, Upadhyay warned that if elected representatives fail to initiate infrastructure development, he would mobilize village residents to undertake the work themselves. He also appealed to people across the region to document and share videos of problems in their respective villages, arguing that development cannot remain confined to official paperwork and must be visible on the ground.
