Kerala Government Raises DA, DR For Employees And Pensioners To 37%

The Finance Department has issued an order revising the dearness allowance (DA) for State government employees and teachers, and the dearness relief (DR) for pensioners.

The rates have been increased from the existing 35% to 37% through an order dated October 17.

The revised DA applies to State government employees, teachers, full-time contingent employees and employees of local governments.

The order also covers the DR payable to State service pensioners, family pensioners, ex gratia pensioners and ex-gratia family pensioners.

The enhanced DA and DR will be disbursed along with the salary and pension paid in November 2026.

The Finance Department said that separate orders would be issued regarding arrears with effect from November 1.

Therefore, the current order establishes the revised rate and confirms when the enhanced amount will be disbursed, while the arrears-related instructions will follow separately.

The State government had earlier increased the DA and DR from 25% to 35% in February this year.

The latest order raises both rates by another two percentage points over the existing level.
