Hathras, 9 October: District Magistrate Satya Prakash Patel has directed officials to ensure the time-bound disposal, as per rules, of pending audit objections, budget and accounts-related matters, and pending notices concerning the three-tier Panchayati Raj institutions.
The District Magistrate made it clear that strict action would be taken if there was negligence in government work or if irregularities were repeated. In such cases, responsibility would be fixed on the concerned officer and employee.
A review meeting was held at the Development Building auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Satya Prakash Patel on Friday. The meeting reviewed pending notices and audit objections under the Legislative Assembly’s Panchayati Raj Committee and the Budget and Accounts Rules of the Area Panchayat.
Pending matters at the district panchayat, area panchayat and village panchayat levels were examined in detail during the meeting. The officials concerned were instructed to prepare department-wise reports of all pending cases and immediately provide updated lists.
