GTA 6 Pre-Orders Start June 25, Official Cover Art Revealed
Rockstar announces GTA 6 pre-order dates starting June 25, reveals cover art. Get ready for the much-anticipated release on November 19!
Rockstar Games has officially announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will begin on June 25. The gaming giant, owned by Take-Two Interactive, also unveiled the game’s official cover art for the first time, offering fans a glimpse into its much-anticipated release. Pre-orders will be available through digital storefronts and select retailers, though pricing details and information on potential editions are yet to be disclosed.
The announcement comes as Rockstar prepares for the game’s scheduled release on November 19, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Players can also wishlist the game on console storefronts to receive updates when pre-orders go live.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rockstar confirmed the pre-order date, stating: “Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers.” However, the company has not specified the exact time pre-orders will open.
While Rockstar has remained silent on pricing, speculation is rife that the game could launch at a higher price point than the current $70 standard for major titles. This follows recent comments by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, who noted that video game prices have not seen significant increases over the past decade.
Players planning to purchase digitally can do so via the PlayStation Store and Xbox storefront starting June 25. Physical copies will also be available for reservation through participating retailers. Notably, the game is currently confirmed only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC version announced for launch.
The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and follows protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, a criminal duo caught in a larger conspiracy after a failed bank robbery.
Rockstar also revealed the game’s official cover art, which highlights the two protagonists surrounded by a vibrant array of characters, vehicles, weapons, and wildlife. Among the featured elements are sports cars, helicopters, boats, law enforcement vehicles, and even an alligator, all reflecting the game’s Leonida setting. Supporting characters like Boobie Ike and veteran bank robber Raul Bautista also make an appearance in the artwork.
The cover art was released via a short teaser video, although Rockstar has yet to share a new gameplay trailer. The company has stated that marketing efforts for GTA 6 will ramp up over the summer as the November release date approaches, reinforcing confidence that the game will meet its launch window following previous delays.
