Former HSBC Executive Launches AI-Powered Wealth Management Platform Equora
Trista Sun, a former HSBC executive, has launched Equora, an AI wealth platform with 10 agents for portfolio monitoring, fraud detection and alerts.
Trista Sun, formerly a managing director in HSBC’s international wealth and premier banking division, has launched Equora, an artificial intelligence-driven wealth management start-up.
The venture is targeting a billion-dollar valuation as it seeks to change how individuals manage their investments and finances through AI.
Platform targets proactive financial management
Sun said in an interview last week that Equora aimed to help investors manage their finances “proactively” with AI agents.
The start-up is focused on “mass affluent” investors and intends to help them manage portfolios, monitor risks and identify opportunities proactively.
Sun said Equora was addressing large-scale needs that existing AI tools fail to meet.
That positioning places the company’s pitch around ongoing financial management rather than a single investment task, based on the functions described for its platform.
Ten AI agents assigned different tasks
Equora’s platform, a2b2.ai, features 10 AI agents specialising in different tasks, Sun said.
These tasks include tracking product maturity dates, detecting fraudulent transactions and flagging market movements that have impacted investors’ portfolios.
The platform’s stated functions combine portfolio monitoring, risk detection and alerts on financial activity.
Sun is betting that AI can transform how individuals manage their investments and finances, while seeking to build Equora into a company with a billion-dollar valuation.
