Eluru Collector launches QR code system for citizen feedback on services

Eluru District Collector K. Vetri Selvi has urged citizens to actively share their feedback on services provided through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) by using QR codes now displayed at district and mandal-level centres. The initiative, announced on Sunday, aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and citizen satisfaction in government service delivery.

QR codes placed at key locations for easy access

To streamline the feedback process, QR codes have been prominently installed at entry and exit points of PGRS centres. Visitors can scan these codes using their mobile phones to rate their experience and satisfaction immediately after availing themselves of services. Officials have been directed to ensure the codes are clearly printed and placed in visible and accessible areas, including notice boards, help desks, and complaint counters.

The feedback submitted through these QR codes will be directly sent to the official PGRS portal, enabling the administration to assess public satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, citizens can check the status of their petitions by calling the toll-free number 1100.

Strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms

The State government’s introduction of this continuous feedback mechanism reflects its commitment to delivering citizen-centric governance. Collector Vetri Selvi emphasized the importance of public participation in improving service quality and encouraged residents to utilize the grievance redressal platform to voice their concerns.

She also reminded citizens to attend the weekly PGRS sessions held every Monday at the Collectorate and mandal offices, where grievances can be submitted in person. The QR code system is expected to complement these sessions by providing an additional, convenient channel for feedback.

This initiative marks a significant step in fostering a more responsive and efficient administrative framework in Eluru district.
