In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Dyuti clarified that the dramatic scene was not scripted, as some had speculated. He explained that the show was filmed nearly a year and a half ago during a particularly challenging phase in their marriage. "It was not scripted. It was a situation we were dealing with," he said, adding that cracks in their relationship had existed for a long time and intensified around the time they signed up for the show.

Dyuti revealed that the divorce incident occurred just before the couple joined the series and that tensions escalated further due to his frequent travel for work. He admitted that he had never previously discussed his marital issues with his mother, underscoring the emotional weight of the situation.

The controversial decision to serve divorce papers on camera drew sharp criticism online, with viewers accusing Dyuti of placing the burden of childcare primarily on Iryna. Addressing the backlash, Dyuti said, "People will never understand the weight I was carrying at that moment." Dyuti elaborated on the frustrations both he and Iryna were grappling with in their marriage. "Every household has problems, and mine was no different," he said, adding that Iryna had suggested divorce and had stayed out of the house multiple times before the show began filming. Despite the challenges, Dyuti confirmed that their relationship has since stabilized, and they are still together.

Reflecting on the public nature of their marital struggles, Dyuti acknowledged that he would handle the situation differently if given another chance. "Do I regret it? No. If I had the option to change something, would I do it? Yes. Of course, I would not go to the level of giving divorce papers. I wouldn’t," he said.

Dyuti also addressed how he might explain the show’s events to his children in the future. He and Iryna have discussed the matter and agreed to present it as either scripted or as a difficult situation they overcame. "I think they will learn a good lesson from it," he said.
