The 83-year-old clarified that the post, which mentioned "hospital," "surgery," and "ICU," was metaphorical and referred to Argentina's Lionel Messi coping with defeat in the football World Cup, not his own health.

Bachchan's blog post on Tuesday described the "most difficult phase" after a surgery or ICU discharge, leading many to believe he was discussing his personal health. The actor explained, “I did not undergo surgery. It is a misunderstood post. I was giving an example… when a champion loses, the most difficult time is dealing with yourself in its aftermath.” He added that this was a reference to Messi’s loss, not his own condition.

The misunderstanding caused a stir among fans, especially since Bachchan was seen greeting them outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, just days earlier. The weekly interaction, a tradition he has maintained for years, reassured many about his well-being.
