Cusat Syndicate restructured with new MLA and expert appointments

The United Democratic Front (UDF) government has restructured the Syndicate of Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), nominating new members across various categories. Mohammed Shiyas, MLA from Kochi, and Najeeb Kanthapuram, MLA from Perinthalmanna, have been appointed under the MLA category.

Experts and Representatives Included

The reconstitution also brings in a diverse set of professionals as experts in higher education. The nominees include Anson P. Antony, a higher-grade section officer in Cusat’s Legal Affairs Division; Kabeer K.K., a lawyer; Abdulla P., Professor and Principal at Cusat's School of Engineering; Sindhu K., Professor of Economics and Principal-in-Charge at Cochin College, representing women; and Arun S.P., representing the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes category.

Additionally, Praveen C.S., Assistant Professor at the International School of Photonics, has been nominated as an expert in Information Technology. Kurien Biju, a research scholar from the Inter University Centre for IPR Studies, will serve as the student representative from the Senate.
