Ayyappa Paniker Foundation launches video competition celebrating poet's birth anniversary

The Ayyappa Paniker Foundation has opened registrations for 'Kavya Drishyam', a video clip and reel competition designed to commemorate the birth anniversary of the late poet Ayyappa Paniker.

The competition invites participants to create short videos or reels based on the poems of Ayyappa Paniker, with all recitation and dialogue required to be in Malayalam. The foundation has kept the technical requirements flexible, allowing videos to be shot on mobile phones or cameras, or alternatively created using artificial intelligence and animation tools.

All entries must conform to the Instagram reel format and must be under three minutes in duration. This format is designed to engage younger audiences familiar with social media platforms while celebrating the literary legacy of the renowned poet.

The competition is open to youth aged between 15 and 30 years. Participants have the option to enter individually or form teams of up to four members, providing flexibility for collaborative creative projects.

The foundation will award cash prizes to the top three entries. The first-place winner will receive ₹5,000, the second-place winner will receive ₹2,000, and the third-place winner will receive ₹1,000. In addition to the cash prizes for the top three positions, all participants who submit entries will receive digital certificates recognizing their participation in the competition.
