Army Recruitment Rally in Visakhapatnam from September 3-20

An Army recruitment rally is set to take place at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Visakhapatnam from September 3 to 20, with 10,355 candidates expected to participate after clearing the written examination. Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has instructed officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the event during a meeting held at the Collectorate on Monday.

Extensive Preparations Underway

The Collector emphasized the need for seamless logistical and infrastructural support for the rally. Key directives include ensuring adequate transport facilities, uninterrupted power supply, installation of CCTV cameras, public address systems, and IT support for the candidates.

A 1.6-km night run, a critical component of the physical fitness evaluation, will be conducted daily along RK Beach Road, starting near the Kali Mata temple and ending at the Victory at Sea War Memorial. Approximately 800 candidates are expected to participate in the run each day. To facilitate this, officials have been tasked with arranging traffic regulation, police security, barricading, lighting, and drinking water along the route.

Comprehensive Support for Candidates

Additional measures include deploying medical teams, ambulances, mobile toilets, and providing accommodation and waterproof tents for participants. Generators will be made available to ensure uninterrupted power supply, and specific arrangements have been directed for conducting physical fitness tests at the stadium.

The rally is a significant event for the region, offering thousands of aspirants an opportunity to join the Indian Army. The meticulous planning underscores the administration's commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all participants.
