Bigg Boss Fame Archana Gautam Recalls Ravi Kishan’s Encouragement to Pursue Acting
Archana Gautam, known for her appearances on popular reality shows like Bigg Boss 16, Khatron Ke Khiladi, and Celebrity MasterChef, recently shared a pivotal moment from her journey into the entertainment industry. During her appearance on Rajeev Khandelwal's TV show Tum Ho Naa, Archana revealed how actor Ravi Kishan played a crucial role in inspiring her to take up acting as a full-time career.
Opening up about her struggles, Archana recalled the challenges she faced while leaving her hometown of Meerut to chase her dreams in Mumbai. She shared that there was a time when even affording her college fees of Rs 20,000 was a significant burden, prompting her mother to work overtime to gather the amount. To support herself later, Archana took up various jobs, honed her sales skills, and worked tirelessly to establish her identity.
However, when her plans didn’t pan out as expected, she returned to Meerut. A turning point came when her father read about a reality show called Sales Ka Baazigar in the newspaper and encouraged her to participate. The show required contestants to demonstrate their sales skills by selling anything and everything. Archana was selected for the show, where Ravi Kishan was one of the judges.
Recalling her interaction with Ravi Kishan, Archana said, “He saw me and told me, ‘Archana, I feel you are meant for acting.’” Intrigued by her story, Rajeev Khandelwal asked if Ravi Kishan was instrumental in bringing her to Mumbai. Archana confirmed this and elaborated on how she took the contact number of his personal assistant. Her father spoke to him, and they were invited to Mumbai. Archana, along with her father and brother, traveled to the city by train and visited Ravi Kishan’s home.
During their meeting, Ravi Kishan asked Archana about her aspirations. She candidly told him, “Look, I know I can’t become Katrina Kaif. I’ve never dreamed too big. Even if I get a small role in a television serial, I’ll be happy.” Ravi Kishan smiled and assured her, “Alright, Archana. You go ahead, and I’ll call you when the time comes.”
Archana Gautam was last seen in the reality show The 50, where she was appreciated for her honesty and outspoken personality.
