Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) has introduced a Short-Term Warehousing Solution (STW) at its BLR Logistics Park, offering freight forwarders and shippers access to storage for urgent, last-minute and temporary cargo requirements.

The solution is designed for both general and temperature-controlled cargo, with rental periods starting from one day and no requirement for a long-term lease.

Flexible storage for temporary cargo needs

AISATS said the STW enables customers to access warehousing capacity on demand, allowing businesses to use the facility when they have occasional or immediate storage requirements.

The company said the offering extends the capabilities of the BLR Logistics Park to mid-sized and smaller freight forwarders, shippers and businesses that may not require permanent warehousing space.

“Our Short-term Warehousing Solution has been introduced to address this need, enabling freight forwarders and shippers to access premium warehousing infrastructure on demand, without the constraints of long-term commitments. As the cargo ecosystem continues to expand, the AISATS remains committed to delivering agile, customer-centric logistics solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency and support the region’s growth trajectory,” said Salim Chaudhary, chief operations officer, AISATS.

The introduction comes as the AISATS BLR Logistics Park has recorded strong market traction within its first year of operations and is on track to achieve full occupancy, the company said.

Spread across eight acres, the integrated facility includes Grade A warehousing, a customs-bonded warehouse, a consolidation centre, cold storage, office spaces and a suite of value-added logistics services.

Integrated logistics infrastructure

In addition to storage, customers at the Logistics Park can access cargo inter-shuttle services, packing and labelling support, dedicated manpower, forklift service and other cargo facilitation services.

AISATS described the facility as a one-stop solution for end-to-end warehousing and logistics requirements.

The Logistics Park is located close to Kempegowda International Airport and has access to the NH44.

AISATS said the facility helps reduce transit times and transportation costs by eliminating the need to move cargo to off-airport warehouses located 40 to 50 km away.

The logistics park has attracted leading multinational logistics companies, including DHL, DSV, FedEx, Kuehne+Nagel and CEVA Logistics, which have established operations there.

The STW therefore adds an on-demand storage option within an existing logistics ecosystem that combines warehousing, cargo handling and related support services.

The announcement was published on October 15, 2026 12:31 am IST.
