Four teams from the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation's Uppal Zonal Workshop have secured Gold awards at a major quality management convention, earning them a place at the upcoming national-level competition.
The teams were recognised at the 40th annual Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2026) organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Hyderabad chapter. More than 200 teams representing various organisations participated in the event.
Recognition for cost-control practices
The four TGSRTC teams showcased the corporation's practices in cost control without compromising on quality, which led to their Gold award wins. The achievement has qualified them to represent TGSRTC at national-level competitions to be held in New Delhi shortly.
TGSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy congratulated the employees for their achievement. He said the corporation would continue to improve quality standards.
TGSRTC Executive Director C.H. Venkanna, Chief Mechanical Engineer Jani Reddy, and QCFI Hyderabad chairman Dayanand Reddy were among those present.
