Telangana CEO directs BLOs to accept only online Enumeration Forms
Telangana CEO directs BLOs to stop demanding hardcopies for online EF submissions, aiming to streamline the electoral process.
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudharshan Reddy has instructed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to refrain from demanding hardcopies of Enumeration Forms (EF) if voters have already submitted them online. He also emphasized that Aadhaar cards should not be insisted upon for EF submissions. The directive aims to streamline the electoral process and make it more voter-friendly.
Assistance for Voters and Online Access
The CEO highlighted the importance of providing necessary assistance to voters and addressing their concerns promptly. A dedicated link for online EF submission is available on the Telangana CEO’s official website, allowing voters to complete the process digitally. Additionally, citizens can access the electoral rolls of SIR-2002, search for their names in the voters' list, and find information about their BLOs, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AERO), and Electoral Registration Officers (ERO) through the same platform.
Focus on Accuracy in Electoral Records
During a video conference with District Election Officers (DEOs) on Tuesday, July 22, 2026, Reddy stressed the importance of verifying cases classified as ‘Absent, Shifted, Dead’ (ASD). He urged officials to maintain accurate records to ensure the integrity of the electoral rolls.
The CEO also called for thorough verification of ‘No mapping’ electors—voters whose details are incomplete or not properly linked in the system—and directed that appropriate action be taken wherever necessary.
Why This Matters
The move is part of ongoing efforts to simplify voter registration and improve the accuracy of electoral data in Telangana. By reducing bureaucratic hurdles, such as requiring hardcopies or Aadhaar, the election office aims to encourage greater participation and ensure no eligible voter is left out.
