Teacher Transfer Policy Notification Set for June 24, Says Minister

Bihar’s Education Minister Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari announced on Thursday that the notification for the state’s teacher transfer policy is expected to be issued by June 24. Speaking at a felicitation event organized by the Primary Teachers’ Association in Buxar, the minister stated that the voluntary transfer process will be completed by June 30, and all transferred teachers will be required to join their new postings by July 1.

Highlighting the importance of quality education, Tiwari urged teachers to fulfill their academic responsibilities diligently after joining their new schools. He warned that any negligence in teaching duties would result in strict departmental action. “Teachers must focus on classroom teaching and ensure quality education. Any lapse in duty will be dealt with firmly,” he said.

The event witnessed a grand welcome for the minister, with BJP workers and supporters greeting him with garlands at multiple locations across Buxar. A procession was organized from Brahmpur to Buxar, during which flower petals were showered at various points along the route. The felicitation ceremony saw the participation of a large number of teachers, BJP leaders, party workers, and local residents.

Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari, who previously contested the Lok Sabha elections from the Buxar constituency as a BJP candidate, has been actively engaging with the education sector since assuming his ministerial role. His latest announcement is seen as a significant step in streamlining teacher transfers and ensuring better academic standards in Bihar’s schools.
