New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to disburse ₹2,400 crore in incentives under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) on Friday, June 19, 2026. The announcement was made by Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya during a press briefing in New Delhi on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The incentives, benefiting 15 lakh individuals, will be transferred directly to beneficiaries via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism. The Prime Minister will also engage with select first-time employees and employers who have benefited from the scheme.

The PM-VBRY, with a total budget of ₹99,446 crore, aims to create 3.5 crore jobs over a two-year period. Under the scheme, first-time employees are entitled to benefits worth ₹15,000, while employers can receive up to ₹3,000 per month for each new employee. These incentives are designed to stimulate job creation, particularly in the manufacturing sector, with benefits extended for up to four years.

Since its launch in August 2025, the scheme has brought over 63 lakh first-time employees into the formal workforce, nearly 30% of whom are women. Additionally, more than 80% of incentivised establishments under Part B of the scheme are small enterprises with fewer than 25 workers. This underscores the programme’s focus on supporting small and emerging businesses, which play a critical role in driving India’s economy.

The event will also see participation from various Chief Ministers and Cabinet Ministers, who will join virtually from 200 industrial clusters across the country. Simultaneously, regional programmes will be held at these clusters, attended by Governors, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, State Labour Ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assemblies, Mayors, and other dignitaries.
