Roadways Bus Rams Into Paddy-Laden Tractor-Trolley In Hathras, Two Farmers Seriously Injured

Two farmers were seriously injured after a roadways bus rammed into their paddy-loaded tractor-trolley near village Bilar in the Sikandararao Kotwali area of Hathras on Thursday morning at around 11 am. One of the injured farmers was later referred to Aligarh Medical College for better treatment.

The tractor-trolley was carrying paddy to the Aligarh mandi when the speeding roadways bus, approaching from behind, hit it forcefully. The impact was so severe that the tractor-trolley overturned. Two farmers travelling on it, Priyanshu and Somdatt, were seriously injured. The collision also led to chaos at the spot.

Kapil, a companion of the injured farmers, said that all of them were residents of Pacho village. They were taking the paddy to the Aligarh mandi to sell it when the roadways bus coming from behind struck their tractor-trolley near village Bilar.

After the accident, the injured farmers were taken to Lalit Hospital in Sikandararao for treatment. Doctors provided them with first aid there. As Somdatt’s condition was serious, doctors referred him to Aligarh Medical College for better treatment. The other injured farmer continued to receive treatment at the hospital.

After the collision, the roadways bus driver left the spot with the bus. Later, Akrabad police caught the bus and had it parked at the police station.

Police are taking necessary action in the case.
