Eligibility Verification Drive Under Prime Minister Urban Housing Scheme

The administration in Hamirpur has tightened checks to prevent irregularities under the Prime Minister Urban Housing Scheme. Cross-checking is under way for houses being provided to poor families.

As part of the campaign, teams are visiting the homes of beneficiaries included in the eligibility list to verify their claims. Deputy Collector and Project Officer, DUDA, Pagaam Haider, inspected the process.

Pagaam Haider visited neighbourhoods with the team and reviewed the eligibility checks being carried out there. The administration is preparing to remove ineligible names from the list and ensure that eligible poor families receive the scheme’s benefits.

The special campaign is being conducted to bring transparency to the scheme. The administration said strict action will be taken if fraud is found during the investigation. The action has brought happiness among eligible beneficiaries.
