Dewas: Accused in TI Dilip Puri case injured in police short encounter
Police carried out a “short encounter” involving Gajendra alias Akku, the driver accused in the case concerning the killing of TI Dilip Puri in Dewas. The incident followed an attempt by the accused to escape while he was being taken to Khategaon police station.
According to information, the police were taking Gajendra alias Akku to the police station when they reached the Barotha route. During the journey, the accused allegedly tried to mislead the police and flee. Following the incident, police took action, in which Gajendra alias Akku was injured.
Police immediately took him to a hospital for treatment. The case is linked to the incident in which TI Dilip Puri was allegedly crushed by a vehicle in Dewas. Detailed official information from the police regarding the incident is awaited.
