Shepherd says flock was kept in enclosure

A shepherd identified as Balamoni Kistaiah, 70, a resident of Allinagar in Pochampalli mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, claimed ownership of the sheep.

Mr. Kistaiah told railway personnel that he had brought the sheep to East City, near Bibinagar, about a month ago for grazing.

He said he had kept the flock inside an enclosure on Monday night before going to sleep.

When he woke up, Mr. Kistaiah found that the sheep were missing from the enclosure, according to his statement to railway personnel.

Suspected chase by dogs mentioned in railway report
