No Recommendation Letters for Vehicle Entry to Chamundi Hill This Ashada

The Mysuru district administration has announced that recommendation letters will not be considered for vehicle entry to Chamundi Hills during Ashada Fridays this year. The decision aims to ensure smooth movement and safety for the large number of devotees visiting the Chamundeshwari Temple during this auspicious period.

Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy clarified that only vehicles covered under the prescribed security protocol will be allowed entry. All other private vehicles, including those seeking entry through recommendation letters, will be denied access. "No vehicle passes will be issued on the basis of such recommendations," he stated in an official press release.

Ashada Fridays traditionally see a heavy influx of pilgrims from across Karnataka and neighboring states, leading to significant crowding and logistical challenges. To address this, the district administration has implemented special traffic management and security measures. These arrangements are aimed at ensuring a peaceful and hassle-free darshan experience for devotees while providing essential amenities.
