NDA Rule Ensures Stable Governance, Development, Says Minister

Handloom and Textiles, BC and EWS Welfare Minister S. Savitha has reaffirmed the NDA government’s commitment to providing stable governance, fostering development, and implementing welfare schemes for the public. Speaking at an event on Thursday to mark two years of the NDA government, the Minister urged the public to evaluate the alliance’s performance in the upcoming elections.

Highlighting the government’s achievements, she noted the success of initiatives such as Thalliki Vandanam, Deepam-2, Stree Shakti, Anna canteens, free sand distribution, and enhanced social security pensions. She attributed the government’s progress to its "double-engine development" model and cited Gujarat as an example of how continuity in governance can lead to sustained development and project implementation.

The Minister also criticised former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to fulfill promises made during the 2019 elections. Challenging him to an open debate, she questioned the development of Kadapa district under his leadership compared to the current regime.

Government whip C. Adinarayana Reddy highlighted the transformation of his Jammalamadugu constituency into a hub for cultural and adventure tourism as well as renewable energy projects. Proddatur MLA N. Varadarajulu Reddy credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visionary policies for the state’s progress, while Kamalapuram MLA Putha Krishna Chaitanya Reddy described the NDA as synonymous with "confidence and credibility." Mydukur MLA Putta Sudhakar Yadav pointed to advancements in rural water supply and health infrastructure.

District Collector Sridhar Cherukuri announced that investments worth ₹1.07 lakh crore are expected to generate significant employment opportunities in the region. Superintendent of Police Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke added that crime rates, particularly cybercrime, have declined due to effective measures implemented by the government.
