Guntur: The NDA coalition government celebrated its two-year milestone in Andhra Pradesh with a public meeting near Guntur on Thursday, themed "Rendella Nammakam, Abhivruddhi, Sankshemam" (Two Years of Trust, Development, and Welfare). Leaders at the event emphasized the state's progress in governance, welfare, and infrastructure development under their administration, while criticizing the previous YSRCP government for leaving behind economic and administrative challenges.

Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, highlighted the coalition's achievements, including the restoration of transparency and accelerated development in areas such as Amaravati’s construction, welfare delivery, and infrastructure expansion. He also pointed to the government’s success in combating narcotics through measures like drone surveillance and special enforcement teams, which have reportedly eradicated ganja cultivation. Additionally, reforms in excise policy and the provision of free sand supply were cited as steps that brought transparency and relief to the public.

Dr. Chandra Sekhar further noted advancements in major irrigation projects, road development, WhatsApp-based governance services, and the revival of Centre-State schemes. He mentioned that the Centre had extended ₹15,000 crore for Amaravati's development and approved ₹2,500 crore for the Common Central Secretariat.

District in-charge Minister Kandula Durgesh described the coalition as a "double-engine administration," led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in the state. He highlighted welfare initiatives such as enhanced pensions, Deepam-2, Thalliki Vandanam, and Annadata Sukhibhava, which have reportedly benefited the public.

Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi shared that over ₹500 crore worth of development projects, including roads, drainage, drinking water, and traffic management, have been completed in her constituency. She also noted that welfare schemes continue to support thousands of residents. Other attendees at the event included Prathipadu MLA B. Ramanjaneyulu, Guntur East MLA Md. Naseer, Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, and Ponnur MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar.
