KNRUHS opens web option window for first-phase MBBS counselling until September 1

KNRUHS has opened the web-option exercise window for first-phase MBBS counselling under the Competent Authority Quota for 2026-27, with candidates able to register their college preferences from 6 a.m. today until noon on September 1 through the official portal.

Eligibility and categories covered

Only candidates whose certificates were uploaded during online registration, provisionally verified by concerned departments and whose names appear in the final merit list published on the KNRUHS website on August 28 can participate in this phase. The counselling covers MBBS seats under the Competent Authority Quota in government and private unaided minority and non-minority medical colleges affiliated with the university, and includes candidates under EWS, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), PMC, CAP and SCCL categories.

Consequences of missing deadlines

The university has issued a strict warning that candidates who do not exercise web options during the first phase will be barred from participating in subsequent counselling phases. Additionally, candidates allotted a seat according to their choices but who fail to join the allotted college will lose eligibility for all future rounds.

Verification process ahead

Final verification of original certificates will take place at the allotted medical college, KNRUHS stated. Any discrepancy discovered during this verification stage could result in cancellation of the provisional allotment and further action under university regulations.
