Hamirpur DM Ashok Kumar Holds First Public Hearing, Directs Officials To Resolve Grievances Promptly

Hamirpur District Magistrate Ashok Kumar held his first public hearing at the Collectorate, where he heard the problems of complainants who had arrived from far-flung areas.

During the hearing, the District Magistrate listened to the grievances seriously and stressed the need for time-bound and permanent resolution of public issues.

He directed officials to ensure that complaints are not handled merely as a formality, but are resolved effectively.

The District Magistrate also instructed that complainants should not be made to visit offices again and again for their grievances.

He said complaints should be resolved at the block and tehsil levels itself.

Instructions were also given to officials through Google Meet and video conferencing.

Ashok Kumar emphasised that every complaint must be heard with sensitivity.

Providing accessible and effective administration is the primary responsibility, the District Magistrate said.
