Bhopal: On the occasion of Independence Day 2026, 20 officers and personnel of the Madhya Pradesh Police will be honored with Police Medals for their distinguished and commendable services. Among them, Gwalior Superintendent of Police, IPS Dharmvir Singh, has been selected for the President's Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM).

IPS Dharmvir Singh is a 2012 batch officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre and is currently serving as the Superintendent of Police in Gwalior. He is being awarded this prestigious honor in recognition of his contributions and responsibilities in police service.

Four police personnel to receive President's Medal

This year, a total of four police personnel from Madhya Pradesh have been selected for the President's Medal for Distinguished Service. Apart from IPS Dharmvir Singh, the recipients include Sunil Kumar Pandey, Deputy Inspector General; Anil Kumar Bhadauria, Inspector; and Raj Lochan Prasad Dubey, Constable.

Additionally, 16 police officers and personnel from the state have been selected for the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).

The recipients of the Meritorious Service Medal include Simala Prasad, Yashpal Singh Rajput, Vijay Kumar Bhagwani, Harnarayan Jaiswal, Vijay Chaudhary, Amit Jain, Anita Kadam, Rajni Tiwari, Dinesh Chand Nagar, Bhaskar Pratap Singh, Bhag Singh Tomar, Santosh Kumar Nayak, Bhupendra Singh Bais, Satya Narayan Yadav, Santosh Kumar Parihar, and Dr. Santosh Yadav.

The recognition of IPS Dharmvir Singh with the President's Medal for Distinguished Service is a significant achievement for Gwalior Police.
