The upgraded Huanggang border crossing between Hong Kong and Shenzhen is set to reopen after six years of redevelopment, introducing significant changes to its operations and accessibility. This major checkpoint, which will become Hong Kong’s second 24-hour border crossing, is expected to open as early as September.

No More Goods Vehicles at Huanggang

Expanded Transport Options for Hong Kong Residents

To ensure smooth access to the upgraded port, authorities have introduced multiple transport options for Hong Kong residents. Travellers can now choose from six daytime franchised bus routes and one overnight route to reach the port building. Additionally, three daytime minibus routes and three overnight minibus routes will also serve the area, providing greater flexibility for passengers traveling at different times of the day.
