District magistrate and police chief personally hear public grievances at police station

District Magistrate Abhishek Pandey and Superintendent of Police Deepak Bhukar of Pratapgarh personally heard public grievances on Saturday during the Thana Samadhan Divas, a dedicated day for resolving complaints at the police station level. Accompanied by City Magistrate Ashutosh Mishra, the senior officials visited Kotwali Nagar police station where they listened to citizens' complaints and directed concerned authorities to ensure fair, quality, and time-bound resolution of cases.

The district administration has made it clear that every complaint registered during the grievance redressal session must be treated with seriousness and sensitivity. The DM and SP instructed officials and staff to conduct on-site verification of the actual situation wherever necessary, with the revenue and police departments working in close coordination to ensure action according to established norms. They emphasized that negligence or unnecessary delays at any level in resolving complaints will not be tolerated.

Speaking to the officials present, the senior functionaries directed that each complainant must be provided with information about the action taken on their grievance. Special caution was advised in handling land disputes, interpersonal conflicts, and other sensitive matters. The officials stressed that such cases require timely solutions so that ordinary citizens can receive prompt justice.

Through the Thana Samadhan Divas initiative, the district administration and police department are working to ensure effective resolution of public problems, better coordination between departments, and a transparent and accountable administration. The program reflects the administration's commitment to bringing governance closer to the people and addressing their concerns in a structured and time-bound manner. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public confidence in administrative and law enforcement machinery at the grassroots level.
