Commercial LPG Prices Cut by ₹209 per Cylinder in Kolkata

The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata has been reduced by ₹209, effective from Saturday, August 1, 2026. With this latest revision, the cost of a commercial LPG cylinder in the city now stands at ₹2,872.50. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.

This price cut comes after the Union government took steps to restore industrial and commercial LPG supply to pre-crisis levels on June 25, 2026. The government had also withdrawn sector-specific allocation caps that were introduced during the peak of the West Asia crisis, citing an improvement in the global supply situation.

The reduction in commercial LPG prices is expected to bring relief to businesses, particularly restaurants, hotels, and other industries that rely heavily on LPG for their operations. Earlier this year, in May 2026, state-owned oil marketing companies had announced a sharp hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices, which had put additional financial pressure on businesses across the country.
