Police in Latur district have filed a First Information Report against Cockroach Janta Party convenor Abhijeet Dipke for allegedly trespassing into a government school, obstructing educational work and intimidating staff during his visit to a facility in Ausa tehsil.
The FIR was registered at Ausa police station on a complaint by Sayyed Shamshadbano Khairatali, 53, a teacher at a Zilla Parishad Urdu school. The alleged incident occurred at the ZP Urdu school in Jawali village, over 500 km from Mumbai.
Unannounced visit during school campaign
Dipke has been touring schools across central Maharashtra's Latur district as part of the CJP's ongoing 'School Thik Karo' (improve government schools) campaign.
According to the complaint, Dipke and his associates entered the Jawali school without seeking permission, sat among students and questioned them, thereby disrupting educational and government work. The CJP leader also filmed the proceedings and subsequently shared the footage on social media, the complaint stated.
Allegations of defamation and threats
The complaint further alleged that Dipke defamed the school by claiming that students from another institution had been brought in and made to sit in classrooms during his visit. He also allegedly threatened to have the teachers suspended.
Police have invoked sections 132 (assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging official duty), 329(3) (house trespass), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 356(2) (criminal defamation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Further investigation is underway, officials said.
