Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan on Wednesday launched the much-anticipated Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery, which now offers a record-breaking ₹30 crore as its first prize. The announcement was made during a brief ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s office, attended by senior officials from the State Lotteries Directorate. Ticket sales will commence on July 20, with the draw scheduled for September 26.

This year’s ₹30 crore jackpot marks the highest prize ever offered by the Kerala State Lotteries, a government-run initiative.
